Healing Spices, A Series on Turmeric, #2: Turmeric Honey

Healing Spices, A Series on Turmeric, #2: Turmeric Honey

Here's a fabulous, delicious recipe for enjoying the goodness of honey and turmeric! (I encourage you to only use organic spices and ingredients.)

Turmeric infused Honey

3-4 T. Coconut oil
3 heaping T. Turmeric Powder
1 tsp. black pepper

Gently melt these 2 ingredients over medium heat until the turmeric is dissolved. Then add:

6 C. Honey

and continue to gently heat (do not boil) for about 20-30 minutes. Remove from heat, cool, and pour into glass containers. Enjoy over toast, muffins, crackers, chicken, and in dressings and teas. (It makes a lovely tea on it's own with apple cider vinegar--delish!)

Prepare to share with friends and family. It's SO good. And if you don't care to make it yourself, you can find it in the Mafu Shop online or in Detroit Lakes, MN.

***Why is the cardamom in the picture with the Turmeric honey? Because it's SO amazing sprinkled over the honey on your breads or crackers. Yum :)!

Enjoy,
Bonnie
