These elderberries are wild harvested in beautiful Croatia. They make a lovely syrup or jam. The syrup recipe is on the jar and here: combine 3/4 C elderberries and 3 c water--gently simmer and add 1 tsp. each: cinnamon, cloves, and powdered ginger. Simmer until reduced by half, then strain. add 1 C. honey or maple syrup. Store in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
Enjoy the syrup straight up, on toast, scones, or pancakes.The berries are a super-immune booster and delicious.
